Badia Square
In the heart of the medieval center of Arezzo, continuing along Via Cavour you reach the characteristic Piazza della Badia , which overlooks the marvelous Church of Santa Flora and Lucilla.
The square was born as a “strong garden adjacent to the former convent but in the mid-nineteenth century it was decided to turn the garden into a square that today is one of the most characteristic of Arezzo.
The square was home to some of the scenes of the famous Oscar award “ La vita è bella ” by Francesco Benigni.
